Jute and cotton
Jute is a renewable, biodegradable and compostable material. The plant is an annual, rain-fed crop, that needs very little fertiliser or pesticides, and takes about 120 days to grow. The fibres are known for their silky lustre and is often called the “golden fibre” due to its colour. Blended with cotton, the material becomes softer and smoother and the durability and breathability is enhanced.
