Designer thoughts
Designer Hiroko Takahashi
"In my work as a designer, I want to combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern influences. In the SÖTRÖNN collection, I also explore the similarities between Japanese and Scandinavian design – minimalism, love for details and a focus on functions. The patterns I’ve designed are simple, but come in bold colours and with strong graphic expressions. I hope the collection offers a sense of contemporary Japan and maybe a feeling of wanting to explore it even more.”
