“When designing SALJEN wash-basin mixer tap, we used the same high-quality, water- and energy-saving internal components as the rest of our tap range but worked with a plastic body to reduce costs. The challenge with plastic though, is the noticeable line created when two halves of the mould come together. ABS is made from oil-based, non-renewable raw materials, but development is progressing and we are using more and more recycled ABS. It is an important step towards our goal of only using plastic that is recycled or from renewable sources.
