Designer thoughts

Designer Mikael Axelsson

“When designing SALJEN wash-basin mixer tap, we used the same high-quality, water- and energy-saving internal components as the rest of our tap range but worked with a plastic body to reduce costs. The challenge with plastic though, is the noticeable line created when two halves of the mould come together. I decided to integrate this line into the design, making it a sleek and attractive feature. The result? An expressive, high-quality tap at an unbeatable price!”

Energy and Resources

Did you know using water more efficiently can reduce your energy bills and help tackle climate change?

Heating hot water accounts for 25% of home energy usage. Using water efficiently reduces energy bills and ultimately reduces carbon emissions. Look for the unified water label and start making a difference. The label has a clear colour coded system to show how much energy and water the product uses. Green rated products use less than those rated Red. Visit www.uwla.eu to find out more.

Material

What is ABS plastic?

ABS plastic is a strong and stable material with a glossy surface – making it perfect for especially used everyday objects like cutlery drawers, kitchen utensils, toothbrush mugs and bathroom hooks. ABS is made from oil-based, non-renewable raw materials, but development is progressing and we are using more and more recycled ABS. It is an important step towards our goal of only using plastic that is recycled or from renewable sources.

People+Planet

All our wash-basin mixer taps help you save water and some taps also have a cold start function that helps you save on energy too.

Sustainable life at home

Water-conscious commitment in bathrooms

Every time you brush your teeth or wash your hands, you can help save water. A small aerator in every one of our bathroom mixer taps reduces water flow while maintaining pressure.
